Established in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level extension is the single TLD intended for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are popular by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level domains remained operational.

Through our company, you can buy your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to change the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular conditions on who can secure a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the objective behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
